Challenges in Human Rights Due Diligence (HRDD) are enormous, and Fairtrade can provide value in this area through its knowledge, research, local networks, information in chains, risk analyses, and through standards and trading conditions. In addition, Fairtrade lobbies and puts on the agenda for a level playing field worldwide.

The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) was developed by leading standard setters to define globally recognized requirements for organic textiles. From the harvesting of the raw materials, environmentally and socially responsible production to labelling, textiles that are GOTS certified offer a credible guarantee to the consumer.
